Lammasingi Eco tourisim spot near Narasipatanam ,Andhraparesh

It is better to go in your own vehicles. A four wheeler is better. If you are planning to go by a two wheeler, wear sufficient protective clothing. Drive extremely slowly, and care fully ,with fog lamps on, as the visibility can be almost zero in some places.
Lammasingi center. Unfortunately there are no accommodations available. When we enquired about the accommodation a dialapilated dispensary was shown to us. No lights, no beds and no bath room. Narasipatanam, about 30 km, is the nearest town it is better to stay there and start at 5 am towards Lammasingi. Hotel Krishna palace( known as locally Rajugari hotel) seem to be a neat and spacious roomed hotel. You have rooms ranging from 400 INR a day to 2500 rupees a day(24 hrs check out). Excellent food  is available at Hotel Alpha with in the compound. Fish curry fame Hotel Maharaja is also neat though a bit far way. The veg hotel Udupi is also neat.
Do not forget to carry winter clothing, a hat, water bottles etc. Some time s it drizzles all of a sudden. This was our consecutive third year visit. Though a few shops have come up, things have not yet improved. Some tribals expressed that some polititions does not want the area to improve.
It is a geographical magic that only Lammasingi remains 5 to 8 degrees colder than the neighboring land scape. Make sure you are there before the day break.

Huge spiders cast their webs in the virgin forest  and await for a meal ,the flies and insects.
Do not expect hygienic food. Though some bam boo chicken centers are there ,they lack the traditional taste. We met some tribal youth some post graduates some trained teachers. Most of them un employed. When we asked why cant they run their own schools or start a tourist home most expressed doubt whether it would fetch. Through awareness and perhaps some training to these people may work.
Lammasingi remains clouded and cold until 11 am during winter.
Tribals consume a country made intoxicating beverage called "maddi kallu" ,a kind of toddy made out of cooked rice, to keep them warm from the biting cold. Be ware of the pathogens it may contain. These three widows earn a sum of rupees 150 a pot by selling the toddy on a market day at down town.

Tribal Women fetch water from a creek afar.
